I'm trying to book SFO-FRA/MUC-ARN or SFO-somewhere on the west coast-FRA/MUC-ARN in LH F on May 9, but I can't figure out when seats are released. Even this Wednesday, SFO-MUC is F8A8, but it's O0. So believe me, I'm trying for the LH F and all its amenities, but it's not as easy as booking a domestic to international connection at YYZ

limo

was b24h long time ago.!!!!!
Now TVR88

The Limo service is on trial basis since early april
Random selection of connecting passengers to try the concept out.
Seems to be for domestic to international connections.
The Concierge met me at gate coming off plane had a IPad with my name on it.First reaction was what,s the problem!????
She had big smile on face and said she was taking me to International Maple leaf lounge, I had been selected at random.
We both realized we had spoken previously about connection in IST.
The car was BMW big one!!! never been Bimmer fan but didn,t turn
down offer.
It was 5 min from gate close to Jazz counter to entry to Lounge elevator.
Was handed off to more senior Concierge who escorted me up to Lounge
to provide orientation and answer any questions or help needed.
The concierges at lounge had been alerted I was coming also.

It saved 17 min off my usual hike from Jazz to Intnl MLL

Ticketed on latitude fare with upgrade to Bus, SE MM
Nice touch all in all.

In FRA on LH First few years ago. There they take you to plane from 1st class terminal, didnt do it on connection though.

Nice chatting to you Margareta Girl

Well, I will be flying to VIE from YOW in late Sept, for a conference.

If this benefit becomes a regular benefit by then for SEs in business class (I would buy P class), then for this reason alone, I would not mind going via YYZ, and on another AC flight from YYZ to some European hub (eg Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich) before transferring again to a third flight.

Lol....I love this thread....My last several flights have been in paid J and I cannot even get decent Concierge Call Centre assistance never mind the car

They should first fix the services they can offer to those with status and those paying a premium

Given that this kind of service is (from what I read) usually offered to F pax or really high yield pax, I really doubt that us lowly P fare buyers will ever see this any time soon.

To me, "high yield" equates to "high roller" or "whale" in hospitality lingo - a high revenue and high margin client. Someone who makes decisions not on price, but on perks and relationships. P class fares most likely would not qualify except on a slow day.

No offence, but if you think AC is going to have a car waiting for P/Z flyers, you're living in a dream world.
While everyone on FT seems to be flying "Paid J" , the few that actually, really do buy J/C fares will be the ones considered for car service.

Cars will be waiting for Customers not easily replaced. There's a line around the block of people flying "FT Paid J" (and by "FT Paid J", I, of course, mean Z/P)

Agreed.

If I was AC, I would not give it to Sparseflyer.

Despite the fact that Sparseflyer is the baddest flyer around town.

While I disagree with your assumption that there are endless pax willing to pay P/Z fares, I fully agree that it would be unreasonable for all J pax (regardless of booking class) to receive this level of service.

It would be nice if AC considered offering this service to SEs in J (any fare class) if the transfer ensured that the pax didn't miss his connecting flight (especially if the tight connection was caused by AC), but even as a SE I wouldn't expect this level of service on a regular basis.

Short of an S class, there is nothing better that AC can reasonably afford. (Maybach, Pullmans etc)
What he said.

Recognized a concierge at gate D1 Thursday. She had a clipboard and was awaiting a flight. She greeted pax and I could over-hear her say you do not have to run , we have a limo here that will take you to the gate. Watched them head up escalators. A few minutes later I watched them coming back down the escalators She escorted pax to gate 104, I followed ,curious Dark sedan with driver waiting. Concierge sat in front seat with driver, passenger back seat.

The best deal, if one is not gone too long, is the valet parking and using an AMEX card to get the valet discount plus a full 15% off the retail price. If AC starts a home/office limo pick up service for high yield overseas flight customers that would put them well ahead of almost all airlines at YYZ. The in airport service would make it even sweeter. That service is overdue in my opinion.

I booked my partner an aeroplan (y) ticket from Yxe-yyz-BCN. I'm already in BCN so he is travelling alone. He was quite surprised when he walked off the plane (with a 4 hour layover) and there was a concierge waiting for him. They drove him to the lounge in a BMW. The funny thing is, he has no status and shouldn't even have had lounge access on the aeroplan ticket. It
Sure made his day!! I've seen three pictures already! Now if only I could get the same service....... 😉
