YWG MLL today. Table of three dudes, doing YouTube show and tell at max volume. Sitting with my wife at the long work table, I wave at them and ask if they need some headphones as I have an extra set from a flight. They say nothing and turn the video off. My wife wasn't thrilled that I said anything but I couldn't handle it any more. It was so loud, you could hear it through Bose NC headphones. Why are people like this?

... that's when you lean in from the side and, in a conspiratorial tone, say towards their ear "Is this the moron you were telling me about earlier?".

Years ago when I flew myself in a C205 I would often stop at 108 Mile in BC for a leg stretch and pee (didn't like the using the jar).
The 108 Mile airport bathroom had a sign that needs to be in all the MLL's:

Lynn: “Country Inn and Suites, that’s the one.”
Gary: “Oh I like that one.”
Lynn: “We got it for $109. But not fancy, but the beds were comfortable, the rooms were absolutely spotless. Right on the highway.”
Gary: “And the gas station is right there, you can get something to eat.”
Lynn: “No, breakfast was included. They have everything. And in the morning the coffee’s right there, you can fill right up before you go.”
And so it continued for the next hour, absolute drivel. In a way it was oddly enjoyable in that it reminded me of overhearing after dinner conversation at my grandmother’s back in the 1970s, and of the dialogue you might read in an Alice Munro story. But mostly it was just annoying. People should be more mindful of how their voices carry.
Lynn: “You wanna go get a slider?”
Gary: “Sure”.
Edit: Lynn just talked about someone who was sexually abused as a child and who suffered depression/mental health issues recently because of it. She used the woman's full first and last name. What a stupid person she is.

YVR Domestic, I have been sitting in here for almost 30 minutes and some blowhard has been having a loud conversation about files and Eric walking around the entire lounge. I will give him some credit though, hes at least not on speaker phone 🙄

He must be over 35 because no-one under that age seems to know how to use a phone without the speaker. I have some tolerance (just a little) for people who use the speaker for video calls, but not for these idiots who hold the phone out in front of them for purely audio calls. I truly believe that no one ever taught them how to hold a phone to their ear. I think they learned it from reality tv shows where that is the only way to depict both sides of a conversation. Maybe someone should do a remedial "how to make a phone call" tutorial on tic tok.

A couple of weeks ago in the YYZ domestic lounge some jackass was having one of those loud speaker phone conversations when one of the other passengers decided to join in. These people weren't traveling together, it was just some random guy who walked up and started participating in this guy's phone call. The fool on the phone instantly gets all outraged and snorts at him "Do you mind, this is a private conversation!" and the guy comes right back saying it's not so private if he has to listen to it from the other side of the room. A bunch of other people started laughing ... the guy with the phone was so embarrassed he just up and walked out.
It was absolutely classic.

At YVR waiting for AC306 Dec 3rd. Went to the lounge.
In the breakfast area, at the table ,4 different occasions people really going to town on the licking of the fingers, and I mean every single finger on both hands. It was really gross . Can not imagine all the cross contamination going on in that lounge

Eek. Everything so dirty and everyone so angry.
I havent been flying much in last 3 years and when I did flew J and so in Sig Suite Lounge. In MP lounge today for 1st time for ages (J in TAP to try it). Its filthy with torn carpets and seats.
But the worst was the old couple next to me. They were not using the power in between their table and mine so plugged my things in. After 10 min he ripped out one cable and threw it down and starting shouting at me that was hogging it.
Yee gads.

Table !
