Men's room, YVR DOM MLL. I need these slats to stay in place for the next five minutes, but I'm not sure whether they will.

Like I've said before, the yyz Dom MLL lav(s) are super tired. Heck even the YUL Dom MLL lav(s) are in better condition and they also suck.

It is, but this hole is in an armrest. I’m gong to hunt for the one in the butt cushion before my YOW flight...

that's the seat! What happened was that my large AC-food-induced #2MMuffinTop was spilling over so much so that I had to give it my seat and then put my butt on the armrest.

Trapped inside YYZ DOM MLL washroom today... had to awkwardly ask someone else to open the door from the outside.... upon further examination it seems to have been broken for quite some time now.

Are you referring to a stall door, or the actual bathroom itself?

The Story of the Hole in the Wall - YVR Domestic MLL washroom

For those at home just tuning in.......

THREE years ago @mevlannen posted about the hole in the wall. Thus ensued my adventure to keep track of how long it takes to get repaired. Having mentioned it to lounge desk agents and posted here, I waited patiently

Ladies' bathroom utterly filthy; there's a hole in the wall of the handicap stall, stuffed with paper (presumably to frustrate would-be Peeping Toms?).

Really wish I'd taken the time to go to the Fairmont Bar instead.

Oh, by the bye? The much-vaunted high-speed internet? It ain't. :/

[edit to fix dreadful typos]

I've hear it's been broken/missing since last October, at least.
Paper-stuffing sounds like progress.

As for YVR MLL no-go wifi, same problem in the Int'l and in YYZ and, and, and there are numerous posts in other threads. Sad but true.
Also, when was the wifi "much-vaunted"? Oh never mind.

Way back in January 2015, I noticed a hold in the wall in the "accessible" stall in the washroom in the YVR Dom MLL (yes, ladies for those who haven't been following)

THE HOLE IS STILL THERE.

I mentioned it to MLL desk agents a couple of times since I first saw it and most recently, when I told an agent, I also asked if the Compass manager knew. Answer was yes. I asked if the Compass manager knew that it's been there since at least late 2014 but for sure early 2015. Agent replies that Compass manager said "it has NOT been there that long".

Considering that I've been in that MLL since before that manager was hired....I would suggest they are wrong (even if they "work at the airport")

So I thought perhaps someone would see this story and fix the hole.

Oh, and it would be really nice to have 2 proper hooks on the wall that can hold a knapsack. There seems to be a decent one in one of the washrooms in the new YVR international upstairs.

Note the dates on the posts. Post 104 is my favourite.

And to update my update: It was still there July 23, 2017.

.

A few weeks ago, i met someone who works to make sure things do get fixed. I mentioned the situation and how long it had been going on.

Well, exciting news, I saw him the other day and he suggested I visit the washroom, where I saw this.

Congrats! Now I have a timeline to use as a measure of how long some things take to get fixed.

Nice work!!!!!

Progress!

Lol, maybe it's just the angle of the photo, but the right hook looks crooked and the spacing uneven.

Why a Arduino or even a Pi wasn't enough to drive a pin pin pad is a mystery for the ages.

#yhz . Week 2, at least.

I suspect once the thing finally boots, it's Windows Embedded to the rescue. Nothing says security like an ancient, unpatched OS.
