btw, agreed on your Asian carrier lounges... I know @24left has posted in this thread and other threads about how great they are. I always look forward to my NRT or HND NH international lounge visits.
Indeed @yyznomad

.....and good morning from the LH FCL in FRA. Thought I’d take this one for a test drive on this trip

I also have a few recent food photos from the YYZ international. I’ll post when I am on the ground for more than 5 minutes

Where is the @24left pic?

Did you try it, and if so, how was it?

I did not try it and did not take a photo. I just did a drive-by peek to see what was on display.

YYZ International MLL - August 2018

Haven't been in here in more than a year, so I figured I'd stop by and take some photos. I had some water and left. Timing was afternoon before the crowds showed up.

Going to YVR INTL MLL today and looking for opening hours. FT wiki says ???? with breakfast ending at 10:30, YVR website said opens 10AM, and AC MLL webpage says 7AM. Hoping AC website is accurate...

Was hoping to see the breakfast and lunch offerings but with boarding scheduled at 10:15, it looks like I'll miss lunch and alcohol availability.

I know the switchover from lunch to breakfast starts around 10:30 as that is one of the times of the day when I am there between flights. Lunch items are not generally all available before 11:00am.

11:00am is also booze-o’clock

How strongly does AC enforce that policy? I've been to a number of lounges around the world where there's simply a sign that says, "No booze till 11" but the fridge is unlocked and there are people downing a couple Windhoek Lagers at 6 AM **cough** CPT **cough**

From what I've noticed, they are strict, at least regarding the liquor cabinets... the liquor cabinets are locked until 11am. Where there are no such cabinets, they are brought out at 11am.

*However* on occasion I have seen people poor beer from the taps before 11am, but that was at the YVR Dom MLL.

@j2simpso

It is not AC policy, it is the provinces of Ontario and BC. I saw and reported in this thread a couple of years back, about some pax who were annoyed while standing in front of the beer machine in the YVR Dom MLL at 10:45, complaining that the beer wasn't available. I also asked the question at one of the restaurants in the YYZ International departure area. Ontario nanny-state liquor laws rule. This is also why no champagne mimosas before 11am in the Signature Suite.

Unlike the Nomad, I have yet to see any of the staff unlock those taps before 11am, and so far, no one has had a meltdown due to lack of beer before 11am. The bigger complaint is why the pizza disappears so quickly and is not replenished past a certain time. lol

And, lounges around the world may operate under local rules/laws.

It seems so. The kale is everywhere and it's annoying.

Didn't you hear? AC just did a hostile takeover of that kale farm. We're doomed into hipster obscurity.
