I haven't looked at T&Cs, but maybe you can give these to a friend or family member?

Here is what it says on the Threshold Gift page:
"Gifts will be provided while quantities last, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis". Threshold gifts or select privileges - it is absurd to offer them and then "run out". If I hit SE100K and I log in literally the day I achieved it, how and exactly when do they define "first-come, first-served"???? If AC is going to limit the gifts and privileges to a certain quantity, then don't offer them in the first place. AC is saying "Hey, look, you're now a Super-Super-Duper and you get stuff. Oh, sorry, we've run out of stuff for you" |
I crossed 200K and took 45K AP miles as the threshold gift. There were 2 available: 1) 45K miles or 2) NY flight pass.
My issue is that I cannot know whether the flight pass will be available for 250K threshold in a few weeks. I may finish the year at 238K miles. If the flight pass is available, I may go on an extra trip to hit 250K miles (the gift at 250K is a Latitude FP for North America, including Hawaii). However, I don't want to do the extra trip if all that is left is 75K miles gift. When I look at the available threshold gifts, it shows them all...however, I cannot see what is actually available until I actually cross the 250K threshold. Frustrating. |
Running out of your own product is monumentally dumb.
But the bigger issue is the taking of several agents at two different companies to work it out, the blame game of who's responsible (sound familiar) and the fact one doesn't actually know what is available until you pass the threshold either. A mixture of grossly unfair policy, incompetence by agents and IT fails. Not a way to treat your very best customers Ben, Ben and co. |

I can tell you that they were still available 2 weeks ago. Unless, of course, I took the last one.

I did it with the 200 and 250k thresholds. It wasn't a problem.

Jeez us. Respect Considering you're on a unlimited FP and get a fixed # of miles per month. That's an insane amount of miles. Wow, just wow. :)

So, if I understand this correctly, when you crossed the 200k threshold, you did not choose anything, and when you crossed the 250k threshold, you had both the 200k and 250k threshold gifts available to choose from?

Two suggestions for AC marketing:
- show the number of each gift remaining at each level, and also show how close the next X altitude members are. Get some competition going among your best customers! - better yet, don't just hand out the gifts willy-nilly. Wait until the end of the year. Those who qualified for gifts can then compete for them on live television, with the higher miles earners getting a head start or something. There will still be one more Hunger Games movie coming out, so you could even synergize with the movie studio on a joint marketing effort. |

What do the Bens have to say about this?!
I think this needs to go to the media. It's so dumb. Have you wrote to the AC mailbox on their website? They are usually quite reasonable there |
