Ah ok, so we're on the same page there. So I'm assuming you have 888K lifetime? If so then yes, you'll unfortunately basically need 6 round trips YYZ-SYD, or about 10 YYZ-HKG to make this happen.

Are you saying you have already reached 1MM with Air Canada? Because E50K is given at 1MM.

The business class bonus miles do count for MM status.

From the altitude site:
AQMs which are eligible for this program are those earned on flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge and its regional affiliates (such as Air Canada Express) since 1988.

Additionally, AQMs earned as a bonus for purchasing Business Class fares, or in conjunction with the purchase of an Air Canada Unlimited Flight Pass, will count towards this program. Note that all other AQMs, including those earned for travel operated by the Star Alliance member airlines, do not qualify.

Why don't you wait for the next EYW promotion.

No!!!!

Also the only reason I earned over 50k AQM from EYW last year was the 225% for CO fares. I normally earn significantly fewer AQM.

I knew that the fair class bonus counted I just did not want to get into it as what I am looking for is what is the longest flight from YYZ I can accumulate miles on.

YYZ-SYD

(In large part because that 'single' flight stops at YVR to refuel)

I understand MPM for ATH-YYZ is 8348. Is YTZ any different than YYZ or are they considered the same?

Can I do any of the following legally (with the "connections" being <24 hours)... what will their mileage be?
  • ATH-CPH-ZRH-YUL-YTZ
  • ATH-OSL-ZRH-YUL-YTZ
  • ATH-PRG-ZRH-YUL-YTZ
  • ATH-BUD-ZRH-YUL-YTZ

I'm a total novice so I don't know how to do the browser hack to get everything.

YTZ is also 8348 for mpm to ATH. Think those are all legal routings - you can enter them in Great Circle Mapper to check total distance.

Wow, so 8348 mpm for one-way? I could practically circle Europe with that.

ATH-ZRH was always about 1020 miles and ZRH-YYZ has been unchanged for years at 4096 miles per Aeroplan rewards earnings (at 100% miles for the booking class).

Mileage earned =/= MPM, no point comparing those two numbers.
