Just spoke to an agent. BNE-YVR is 11,820 miles
BNE-AKL-NRT-YVR = 11,574 Booya

I thought it was always 2 stops or 1 open-jaw.

I read that as one stop and one open jaw. He stops in BNE, then stops in CHC, goes by himself to WLG and then continues nonstop from there. This means the furthest point is likely CHC and not BNE (so the quoted MPM is YVR-CHC).

I was given 13956 for SFO-BKK. BKK-MUC-LAX-SFO was under 11k, so there's quite a bit of room to work with there.

So I'm still a bit confused as to how this all works.
What I'm thinking of booking is YVR-JNB-BKK-YVR. Alternatively, I'd be interested in YVR-LED-BKK-YVR (in either order).
So I called today and had...
YVR-LHR-JNB-ADD-DXB-BKK-ICN-LAX-YVR (total 26,824)
denied.
But...
YVR-LHR-JNB-BKK-ICN-LAX-YVR (total 25,284)
Approved.
Did I really go over with the extra 1,600? Or am I doing something wrong? I still can never tell if I'm ok or not unless the flights are in kind of a straight line.
So as I said I'm also interested in YVR-LED-BKK-YVR...what I'm looking at is like...
YVR-PEK-BKK-ZRH-LED-WAW-YYZ-YVR or something like that. But based on the lines on gcmap, I can't imagine it would be approved, so I tried to straighten it up a bit. YVR-PEK-BKK-ARN-LED-WAW-YYZ-YVR.
