I am planning to book AMS-IST-JFK/ORD-CVG/DAY, does anyone know if this will be allowed or not?

Smile Bne-yvr = 11,820

Just spoke to an agent. BNE-YVR is 11,820 miles

BNE-AKL-NRT-YVR = 11,574 Booya
BNE-SIN-NRT-YVR = 11,814 Now that's close! <2nd EDIT:Not bookable >

EDIT: Can't add to wiki as I don't have 90 posts. Someone please add?

2nd EDIT: Ok so I called again and actually booked. Here is updated info.

Other agent confirmed that BNE-YVR was actually 11,800
Interesting fact GCmap said BNE-AKL-NRT-YVR was 11,831 but AP said it was 11,847. Must be slightly off. Pretty darn close though

BNE-YYJ she said is 11,764

But I was able to book the following:

AC) YVR-BNE (stop)
NZ) BNE-CHC (Destination)
NZ) WLG-AKL (Open-jaw)
NZ) AKL-NRT
AC) NRT-YVR

She said the MPM for that route back is 11,935? Must be CHC-YVR MPM?
$609 per person YQ (That damn YVR-BNE route is $465! YQ)

But alas I get to go home for Xmas and get a few days in NZ on the way back. That will do me

Sorry if already posted, but if not,

Just booked an LH O ticket with a layover in MIA.

Interesting. 1 stop and 1 Open-jaw. Can we do that now?
I thought it was always 2 stops or 1 open-jaw.

I read that as one stop and one open jaw. He stops in BNE, then stops in CHC, goes by himself to WLG and then continues nonstop from there. This means the furthest point is likely CHC and not BNE (so the quoted MPM is YVR-CHC).

Correct. This route has BNE as stop, CHC as destination and CHC-WLG is me finding my own way between those two airports - open jaw

@Shanqx
AP allows:
2 stops OR
1 stop AND 1 Open Jaw

on inter-continental route.

I was given 13956 for SFO-BKK. BKK-MUC-LAX-SFO was under 11k, so there's quite a bit of room to work with there.

MPM, Aeroplan

YHZ-MEL, 17,460
YHZ-SYD, 16,735
YHZ-AKL, 15,068

YYZ-AKL, 15,108 (this is what I was given, use w caution, it seems like an error, or I don't understand why via the hub YYZ is more than YHZ, which is further, and requires an additional segment)

So I'm still a bit confused as to how this all works.

What I'm thinking of booking is YVR-JNB-BKK-YVR. Alternatively, I'd be interested in YVR-LED-BKK-YVR (in either order).

So I called today and had...
YVR-LHR-JNB-ADD-DXB-BKK-ICN-LAX-YVR (total 26,824)
denied.

But...
YVR-LHR-JNB-BKK-ICN-LAX-YVR (total 25,284)
Approved.

Did I really go over with the extra 1,600? Or am I doing something wrong? I still can never tell if I'm ok or not unless the flights are in kind of a straight line.

So as I said I'm also interested in YVR-LED-BKK-YVR...what I'm looking at is like...

YVR-PEK-BKK-ZRH-LED-WAW-YYZ-YVR or something like that. But based on the lines on gcmap, I can't imagine it would be approved, so I tried to straighten it up a bit. YVR-PEK-BKK-ARN-LED-WAW-YYZ-YVR. Would either of these work? If not, is there a way to include these 2 cities together, or is it just a non-starter?

YVR-NRT-BKK-IST-ZAG-LED-ARN-PEK-YVR?
YVR-NRT-BKK-IST-ZAG-LED-CPH-YYZ-YVR?
