ORD-ARN (23 hour layover)
ARN-PRG (STOP - Open Jaw)
FCO-BRU (STOP) (FCO also counts as a stop right?)
BRU-CPH
CPH-ORD

$311 in taxes for 2 tickets + booking fee of $67.80. I am planning to take a train from Prague to Vienna and then find a flight to Rome from there.
Why are you going back to Scandanavia after going down to Rome? Why aren't you flying to Rome from Vienna as part of your itinerary? And if you use your open jaw on your turnaround point, you lose the ability to have a second stopover. Just my 2c.

I recently booked a very expensive trip...nearly $1k per person, in J. It hurt me to pay so much, but there was no availability at the time I needed so I couldn't play around enough to dump the YQ.

YYZ-EWR
JFK-ICN (first time on A380)
ICN-SYD (I heard bad things about the seats on this flight)
SYD-AKL
AKL-HND (789 AZ pods!)
HND-PEK
PEK-YYZ

I am going back through BRU because I am stopping there for a couple nights (Brugge). I wanted 3 but the flight was not accommodating.

Just booked:

YEG-YUL AC Y
YUL-ZRH LX J *stop*
ZRH-IST TK J
IST-BKK TK J
BKK-CNX TG J *destination*
CNX-BKK TG J
BKK-HND TG J *stop*
NRT-YVR AC J
YVR-YEG AC J

Total of 155k miles and $357 + $30 phone booking fee. The YQ made up $183 of the total fee.

The plan is to spend time in Florence but that is a tough place to get on *A. It seems that quite a few of the *A carriers only fly to Tuscany seasonally and, with this trip being in January, my options were limited without backtracking. I found it made more sense to just get to ZRH and book a separate itinerary to get to FLR or PSA.

No routing via BRU on SN? or UA? (to avoid flying on TK and backtrack)
I'd think VCE/MXP/FCO are easier and closer to FLR than ZRH..

Take the train. An easy trip with a connection in Milan. Pretty picturesque as well. Although, I'm pretty sure I've seen TK availability between FLR-IST, so you could try to change the ZRH-IST segment.

SN only flies to FLR seasonally and it was very difficult to find SN availability from YYZ-BRU anyway. I'd rather avoid UA in general. I did debate flying into FCO or MXP but an LX flight from ZRH-FLR is only around $110 CDN, so it just seemed like the best option.

I was also just under the MPM to CNX, so adding that extra bit of routing would have invalidated the itinerary. Oh well, I'm pretty happy with it overall.

Thanks, I'll look into the train. I do generally prefer train travel to air travel, depending on the timing.

From my research it seemed that LX flies into FLR but TK only flies into PSA, which are not considered co-terminals, so it wasn't possible to put together a route without backtracking.

Also BLQ and NCE (with a nice drive through Monaco and Genoa). That's what I'm doing as getting into FLR is a hassle.

This looks awesome and I would like to do something similar without connecting in the states. How far ahead did you book? Also, you prob mean 220,000 miles, no?
