Business class LHR-ZRH is $450 on its own, so about the same amount as paying the taxes for all of the flights. Plus it's the same # of miles for the whole trip to have this leg included, so don't bug me to have it included.

LX is running the 77W 3-4 times / week into YUL starting at the end of March (at last check anyways, maybe it's all flights for S17 now)

I booked this late Jan, 2017 for a trip in May, 2017.
$933+$30 booking fee with 16,5000 AP points

My goal was to book a trip with stops in Singapore, Dubai and London(sad have to pay expensive YQ. visiting a friend there) and fly on direct flights to save time.
Thats insane... your first 3 legs would come in as like 200$, your paying 700for lhr-yzz.. mind blowing! As per above you could probably skim ~300$ off that by connecting in zrh... and you would get the ICE CREAM!!

Not the sexiest mini-RTW, but the following are all valid, based on some bookings I made over the past few days:

SIN-TPE (SQ)
TPE-LAX/SFO/YVR (BR)
LAX/SFO/YVR-YYC (AC)
YYC-YYZ (AC)
YYZ-LHR (AC)
LHR-SIN (SQ)

YUL YYZ 1 day layover (see friends) AC
YYZ YVR 1 day layover (more friends) AC
YVR LAX 12 hour layover (Hollywood tour!) UA
LAX ICN layover OZ
ICN PVG Stopover#1 OZ
PVG SIN POT SQ
SIN IST 12 hour free transit tour! TK
IST FCO Stopover#2 TK
FCO ZRH 1 day layover LX
ZRH YUL LX

All in Business Class. $320 in YQ, 155k AP.

It looks a bit shorter than my usual mini rtw but that's because I opted for a bunch of intra-asia Alaska and Avios awards in CX/JL J during stopover#1 and at the POT.

YEG-YVR AC A320 (J) 12hr Layover
YVR-SEA AC Q400 (Y)
SEA-TPE BR B77W (J)
TPE-BKK TG A333 (J) 8 Day Stop
BKK-MEL TG B772 (J) 9 Day Stop
MEL-AKL NZ A320 (Y) 6 Day Stop
AKL-BNE NZ B77W (J)
BNE-YVR AC B789 (J)
YVR-YEG AC B320 (Y)

160k points & 640$ pp including 319$ of YQ +30$PP booking fee. Unfortunately for us this is the best we can do to visit New Zealand. The only other way is to fly AKL-PEK-YVR-YEG on CA however there is no availability on PEK-YVR this far out. I will monitor the situation see if anything opens up. Only other option was doing paid flights from AU which would be in the 300$ neighborhood anyways.

When it's been months, I do not think you can still call it intermittent

Total of 215,000 AP miles + around 1,100$CAD in taxes. Well worth it IMO ^

Took 3 agents 6 hours to figure out the taxes and get this ticketed. I was getting quite nervous that I would get this ticketed on time. Fortunately all was well with the ticket and I had a amazing time - A lot of flights but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would do it again tomorrow!
This is a great itinerary! minus the UA 737 of course ha! I would love to do this one. Did you get LH388 F because it was the day before?

Traveling in September. Quite proud of myself for this one - SEZ is a challenge (TK and ET are the only options, not much TK availability). 26,738 miles (barely under the very generous 16,789 MPM for JFK-DPS). Booked for 2, 155k + $199 + $30 booking fee each.

JFK-IST-SEZ TK J (STOPOVER 8 nights) 9 hours in IST, unfortunately too late for transit tour so we'll enjoy the lounge.
SEZ-ADD-DEL ET J (STOPOVER 4 nights) the latter flight is a 7 hour redeye on recliner seats, so this will be the worst part of the trip
DEL-SIN-DPS SQ J (DESTINATION 5 nights)
DPS-TPE (22 hours)-JFK BR J

Taxes:
U.S. Passenger Safety Fee$7.60
Seychelles International Embarkation Tax$67.50
Indonesia Passenger Service Charge$20.20
India User Development Fee$63.30
Singapore Passenger Security Service Charge$2.90
Singapore Passenger Service Charge$2.90
Turkey International Airport Service Charge$7.10
India Domestic/International Passenger Service Fee$5.10
U.S Agriculture Fee$5.30
U.S.A Immigration User Fee$9.50
U.S. Customs User Fee$7.40
Total per passenger$198.80
