Did you get your first choice?

Not all crews will zigzag through the cabin, but they still offer priority.

If you're the only SE, they don't need to ask you until there's only 1 of something left. If that never happens, you "technically" haven't been given priority, but you still get what you want, which is the whole point.

I did. So you may be entirely correct. Nevertheless, does not change my assessment of the general service attitude on this flight. One of my more forgettable experiences in 2018.

Anyone have the current China-Canada (e.g. PVG-YYZ) J menus to post. The AC website Asia-Canada online menu's don't seem to be loaded for some reason. Thanks.

Yes, I posted this in the other thread on Jan 8:

Weird.

And this comment also appears:

*Information is available for flights until Jan 31, 2019. February menu will be available on Jan 24, 2019. All times are shown in airport local time.

Menu looks normal to me.

Always more helpful if you specify a route and post the menu you are looking at.

So I picked BNE for you

Seems pretty clear to me, and it was on my BNE flight

This is the actual menu for YVR - SYD and BNE for Jan 12 2019

Just got back from PVG. The menu looks the same as the OP. Also the menu is the same for YYZ - PVG as well.

Terrible system. Couldn't find the menu for YVR->TPE. While looking at YVR->HKG I noticed TPE in the URL as well. And still no luck with the other way around.

Yes, it's been that way for a long time. Same menu code for similar routes ex-Canada, as posted a few times in this thread.

AC seems to have chosen not to post menus for the return flights. Perhaps they can't due to last minute catering changes at outstations. Just guessing.

I presume menu onboard must be printed ahead of the time? I will post Feb menu from TPE when I return.

How are Hawksworth menu items? I will probably stick with the fish or chicken. The steak tends to be a bit heavier and will sit there.

The Hawksworth main dish is not offered returning to Canada, AFAIK.
I have never seen it on my TPAC and TATL (200+) menus when returning to Canada ever since Hawksworth was introduced to the menus a few years ago.

Funny, I've never noticed that. Sample size of 25 or so. I don't tend to order Hawksworth stuff so don't miss it if it isn't there.
