YYZ-MUC is A330 over summer, so that will still be old J (classic pods). Once it switches back to either 787 or 777 of any kind, it will be new executive pods.

I just did a Google Flight check, it's being sold as 777. (Which is why I guess the price somehow dived $300 as soon as 787 is being sold as oppose to A330 in mid SEP, then become 777 later)
The reason: Seasonal Demand?

I just flew both a 777 and 788 and I found the new J seats to be very restricting when in lie flat mode (777 more so than the 788). I was unable to turn on my side in either seat and in order get out of the seat in lie flat mode I would have to actually bring the seat up into more of a sitting position and I'm only 6'4.
I've never had any issues with CX's J seats. I had assumed that they were the same type, but clearly that's not the case. It may simply be that the position of the tray table makes all the difference. I actually prefer LH as at least their seats have more mobility when in lie flat mode.
Hopefully AC gets the seat right in the next go around.

I flew the 789 and 777 J cabin last week. Although not as tall as you, (I am at 1.83M) I find these seats quite comfy

Well being vertically challenged J on the 788/789 & 777 works fine for me.
Last week the family and i flew on 777 FIN704, YYC-LHR and we all enjoyed a good nights sleep in J. Wife loves the new IFE.
Next week in will fly 787 YVR-EWR & YYZ-YYC in PY for the first time so i am looking forward to that experience.
One day I may fly in Y on the 787

Sorry if this is answered somewhere, but Is there a list of differences between 777 and 787 executive pods?
Also, did the 777 IFE ever have the messaging feature or is that just 787? Couldn't find it yesterday on a 777-300. Actually playing with the IFE now that I've discovered you can interact with it. =P At least 20+ flights with the 787 video on loop the whole flight.

Talking about the 787 in this thread or talking about the refurbed 777s in the Dreamliner thread, from my understanding of the rules, is not allowed.
You could cause moderation tizzy if you start a comparison thread though.

Seat selection premium economy AC 33
Flying PE on AC33. YYZ SYD (via YVR) seat map shows 777-200 I believe
Seats available in bulkhead row 12 and 14
Conflicting info on "no foot rest" for bulkhead seat and "limited recline" in row 14
Currently in 12 window. Would like to keep window and it's available for both segments in 12 and 14. What is the better seat or is there one and what's the difference or are there effectlvely none
Return is on the 787 so if there are any pointers there please go ahead
Many thanks

I go in 13C for both; like to be able to stretch my legs into seat below, find 12 too limiting. Plus, the IFE system is better on the seat in front vs the wall, even when said person reclines.
Only thing to remember about 14 is you get served food later. Not a major issue in A/C but in 14H or something (I changed to help someone sit with his wife) it's a big delay and almost last choice. I've only flown 14 on the 787, but had no recline issues.

Haven't sat in row 12 in the refurbished 777s, but on the 788, row 12 IFEs are located via the swing out unit in those particular seats' armrest. A good workout, for sure.
Legroom is a bit limiting in 12, but easier to cross over your seatmate's legs.
Personally hate feeling the finger poking against my seatback when someone browses the IFE, so I always choose row 14 seats.

Some find legroom to be limited in row 12.
I always take 14C if it is a full flight, and 14D if there's empty space (this almost always guarantees an empty seat next to me).
