And on a very different note, anyone have experience sitting in seat 61A on a 777? Yup , I know it's really the back of the bus, but at least it's a row of 2 versus 3.

I'd like to know as well. I booked 61K on a flight to CDG (from YYZ) in Sept. I'm flying alone but prefer to just have to bug one person rather than 2 to go to the lav. I've been tempted to purchase PE but only row 14 is available with Window seats and I'm not sure if they have a physical wall separating it from Y. I've seen pics of both types.

I have no status so don't expect any surprises at boarding (although I have the perks from TD previlege card for priority checking/boarding.

Experience sitting in those seats, yes. But what are you looking for? If you're taller than 6'2" then not recommended. I would suggest row 60 (outside) if possible as the row in front is a 3 seat so the carts veer away from your seat. Even though there is more space in the aisle, the carts still manage to hit me a good portion of the time if I sit in 61.

FIUA (701) is done and will operate AC16 HKG-YYZ on May 9. FIVK (704) is operating AC15 YYZ-HKG tomorrow and will take its place.

And, with that, the Classic Pod is officially retired from the 777 fleet.

Well I just booked my mom on a 767

I mean it was that or a 320, so easy choice. But too bad they don't fly anything newer to SFO.

I'm not sure she's ever flown a pod though.

Hmmm now I'm tempted to fly it with her.

How is this related to a 777?

Executive Pods in the front (ALL 777s)
3-4-3 in the back
all will have PE
Thanks! So how does that match with, say AC033? Leaving on Monday May 9th the seatmap shows a classic 77L with pods and 3-3-3 in the rear. From Tuesday May 10th onwards it's showing a 77L pods up front and 3-4-3 in the rear, with no PE. Checked a random date in September and it was the same.

The seatmap doesn't always match reality... tonight's AC033, for example, appears to be C-FNNH. That fin completed the makeover in March. Tomorrow's flight is probably C-FIUJ (currently heading back from Sydney), and it's being sold as 3-3-3 despite having converted back in Feb.

As an aside, C-FIUF appears to be staffed on AC159 YYZ-YEG. That's usually an A320, so looks like it's either being used to move people out of, or equipment into, the Fort Mac area.

I noticed if you search YYZ-SYD, rows 12 to 14 show up. Perhaps AC is not willing to let cheapeners paying for Y eat the 12-14 rows up before the YYZ-SYD has a chance to sell? Although May 10 is only a few days out so...

EDIT:
<ignore>Also gives lots of room to catch those pesky eUp cheapeners going from Y and avoid having to stick them in J. Dunno...</ignore>

I will note that one way YYZ-SYD is dirt cheap right now and only 1 day out! I mean, seriously, under $8k for business and not RT? I don't monitor this market much, but it seems rather cheap.
