Have a full fare ticket YYZ - YZF the fare basis is "YJ". It used to be Y1. Is this a new fare class?

Alright, I can't resist: YJ means you get Hospitality Class service but pay an Executive Class fare.

Was it a corporate fare or just a full fare purchased from AC?

Have scanned the published AC fares and have yet to find a YJ from anywhere to YZF. Still the Y1 around only. And I thought AC always gave business-for-economy prices a different code, like -C- class to Caribbean.

The ticket was booked through our company
travel agent. The segment from yeg - yzf is with Canadian North. All other flights are Y1 on the ticket. The routing is yyz - yeg - yzf - yeg - yyc - yxe - ywg - yyz (4049.00)

A tip for anyone flying yyz - yzf if you want more miles you can route this way for the same fare yyz - yvr - yyc - yeg - yzf extra 2000 miles.

YJ used to mean if it was a route where
J was not available all the way through
that you would pay a portion of the J
fare. Although that may not be the case
anymore.

YJ IS an economy JOINT fare.

The proof:
From the AC only display
7 AC 1597.00 Y1 -- --/-- -- -/- -/-
From the joint fare display
19 YJ 1597.00 3194.00 AC-7F YEA
20 YJ 1597.00 3194.00 AC-7F YWG
21 YJ 1639.00 3278.00 AC-5T YYC
22 YJ 1639.00 3278.00 AC-5T YEA
The connection point is the city named at the end of each line.

Thefareguru,

Many Thanks. Makes sense as all the flights are one way.
