LHR-YYZ: Sold Out?
Why would my LHR-YYZ flight be showing as sold out for the last three weeks on both ITN and the Air Canada website: J9 C9 Y0 M0 B0 H0 etc
And then today, all of a sudden, its fairly open? J9 C9 Y9 M9 B9 H9 V0 Q0 L0
Just curious!

Very normal! That's usually what happens to my HKG flights as well. Most likely the ticketing deadline for a bunch of reservations has gone by and AC also cancelled a whole bunch of reservations that are "on hold". They might also think that the no show factor will be high on this particularly flight so they allocated more seats to each fare class.

Most likely thing is seats being returned to inventory by a code share partner.
Other possibility is group bookings being moved or released.
What's the date of the flight? If it is very close, route controllers may have upped the oversell limit because J wasn't moving.
