FlyerTalk Forums - Chorus Aviation open to early renegotiation of relationship with Air Canada

I'm sure Chorus would like to try and get business locked in with AC, otherwise they may soon find themselves out of business. AC doesn't appear to want to deal with them much any more.

What has happened over the past few years?

AC awarded Q400 flights at YTZ to Sky Regional
AC has transferred its E75 fleet to Sky Regional
AC prohibited Jazz from bidding on transborder regional flights.
AC has increased the amount of capacity given to Air Georgian (transborder flights on CRJ's)

Speaking of Air Georgian, they've recently merged with another airline (Regional 1) that will apparently give them access to DH3's, CRJ's and the ability to acquire additional aircraft. I'd expect them to be in a position to make a major play for AC's regional lift by the time the current CPA expires.
