is it really the light?

Here I am waiting for my flight to YWG at YUL and I notice a plane. Yes it isn't weird because I'm at an airport. Then I look closer and it looks like the tail end is crushed in. An agent and @aircanada say it's the light. What do you think? https://twitter.com/wilfundal/status/431542831187234816 (I can't seem to post an image via the app) By the way, it (the tail end) doesn't change even after I walked to another part of the waiting area...

Looks normal. Part of the fuselage is flat to accommodate the horizontal stabilizer tilting up and down while remaining flush.

All modern planes are like that. Here's a link to an A320

And here from another angle, shows light bending upwards just aft of the Embraer titles:

Agent is correct (mostly). It is the design of that tail section enhanced by the light.

Hmm, I always thought the 777s had sort of a "crushed" look as well.

I thought this was another one like leaving the blinds open or the reading light on.

I thought OP had some sort of epiphany moment. "I have seen the light ... is this really the light!?"

Haha. I wish! Although I did have a rejected landing / go around on my last flight into YXS. But it was still dark... So no light... Eep must sleep now. I've been up 24 hours.
