No extra bonus if you were swept
 

So apparently, even though I was swept to S100K on December 5, all my flights until January 1 were only eligible for a 75% bonus, because the terms say that since it's a 2014 status (unlike "early recognition"), it only applies to flights from January 1 to December 31 2014.

Not sure if anyone else flew after being upgraded in the December sweep, but if you did, that's why you didn't get full bonus miles.

Ya I noticed this too. I was just happy they didn't wait until march to start giving me my 100% bonus.

Yes, the status bonus miles are based on the calendar year. IIRC this means you wouldn´t get any bonus inmiles in Jan./Feb. 2015 even though you´d still have SE status (assuming you didn´t re-qualify for any status).

I was just confused because when I went from 35 to 50 to 75, the new bonus started immediately. I know the sweeps aren't the same as early recognition, but everything else started working (IKK, upgrades, concierge access, etc.)

It only would have been about 800 miles for me though, so I don't really care.

I've been getting 100% on United flights this year though, so everything is working now.

Same thing happened to me. I was SE last year but had not chosen the 100% bonus milage. This year I did and only flights after Dec 31, 2013 got the new milage.

Status is March 1st - February 28/29 of the following year, with two exceptions that are calendar year:

- bonus AE miles in select privilege bundle #1
- flight pass bonuses in select privilege bundle #3

Well no, the issue here was that everything except those started for me on December 5 2013. That's why it was confusing.

If my BP had still said E75K, things would have made more sense :p

Personally I would be happy that SE100K swept in Dec-5 rather Mar-1 :D
