- Window seats may feel narrower to come as the armrests are placed "into" the "curvature" of the cabin.
- Seats with no windows feel even more narrower as there is no space created by the curvature of window.
- All bulkhead seats have very limited legroom.
- Seats 15A, 16A, 16F, 17A and 17F have limited windows.
- Exit rows 19 and 20 have more legroom than regular preferred seats.

Routes

The 737 MAX is designated to replace the A320-series. Based on announcements and schedule updates, the following specific routes will be operated by the 737 MAX in future:

YYZ-LAX (periodic flights)
YYZ-SNN (new route)
YUL-DUB (new route)
YYZ/YUL-KEF (replacing Rouge A319)
YYT-LHR (replacing Mainline A319)
YHZ-LHR (replacing Mainline B767)
Hawaii Routes YVR/YYC (replacing Rouge B767)
Many domestic trunk routes (YYZ, YVR, YUL, YYC) now operated by 7M8, replacing A320 family

MONTREAL -- Canada's two largest airlines say they are confident in the safety of the Boeing 737 aircraft after a fatal crash on Sunday involving an Ethiopian Airlines flight.

The accident, which killed all 157 aboard the Boeing 737 Max 8, raised concerns over parallels to the crash of a Lion Air jet that plunged into the Java Sea last October, killing 189 people.

Air Canada says in an email its 24 Max 8 aircraft have performed "excellently" and met safety and reliability standards.

In response to concerns raised by social media users, WestJet Airlines Ltd. tweeted Monday that it is not grounding any of its 13 Max 8s, and is "working with Boeing to ensure the continued safe operation of our Max fleet."

The bins on this 320 are not nearly as nice as the 7M8.

I barely had room in J for my bag.

North America sees several orders of magnitude more 737MAX operations a day than the rest of the world, and has not seen this issue. United, along with their chapter of ALPA (known for being tough on the airline at every turn), has said that their pilots have been trained to counteract any runway trim situation, including MCAS.

Now, the concerning thing about the ET crash is that they aren't like Lion Air - they have a good reputation for safety, good pilot training and good maintenance. That said, the circumstances are not actually that similar. Lion's issues happened at higher altitude and a bit further into the flight, while ET's happened just after takeoff at just 1000' AGL. Of course, we still don't know if MCAS was a factor at all, and what would have caused it to come in anyway.

Do you have data to back this up? There are about 350 7M8s delivered, AC, WS, AA, SWA has about 100 in total. China has another 100. How does that put NA with "severl orders of magnitude more" 7M8 operations?

Yup, and my usual Monday 7:00 AM from YYZ to YYC was the Max, and it was a bit weird. The first time ever I have actually thought 'hope this one doesn't crash' as I've boarded an aircraft.

Sorry by SW I mean Southwest, or SWA. Changed my post accordingly.

It’s you who claimed “several orders of magnitude more”, so waiting for your data, as I can’t find anything related to utilization rate to prove that.

Either way, my point is, there is no data to prove that B7M8s operated by NA airlines are safer than other B7M8s.

Ha ha! Well I'm in Calgary now. Unless I crashed and heaven looks just like Calgary, and assuming I might get in to heaven...never mind, this can't end well.

I'm not concerned, but I am curious what kind of jackpot I've won to have four flights scheduled on MAX 8 over the next month (to and from SFO between YUL and YYZ). I remember having the previous disaster on my mind when I got on the MAX 8 after it happened, but then it started to dissipate in the back of my mind. And now this... just crazy. Hopefully it will not take long to get solid info out there. Even having to fly these things soon, I feel like many airlines are jumping to conclusions pretty quickly (but I understand their decision).
