Cabin Layout
Interior Specs can be found here https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/onboard/fleet.html
- Window seats may feel narrower to come as the armrests are placed "into" the "curvature" of the cabin.
- Seats with no windows feel even more narrower as there is no space created by the curvature of window.
- All bulkhead seats have very limited legroom.
- Seats 15A, 16A, 16F, 17A and 17F have limited windows.
- Exit rows 19 and 20 have more legroom than regular preferred seats.
Routes
The 737 MAX is designated to replace the A320-series. Based on announcements and schedule updates, the following specific routes will be operated by the 737 MAX in future:
YYZ-LAX (periodic flights)
YYZ-SNN (new route)
YUL-DUB (new route)
YYZ/YUL-KEF (replacing Rouge A319)
YYT-LHR (replacing Mainline A319)
YHZ-LHR (replacing Mainline B767)
Hawaii Routes YVR/YYC (replacing Rouge B767)
Many domestic trunk routes (YYZ, YVR, YUL, YYC) now operated by 7M8, replacing A320 family

I'm curious to see if the 7M8 has the same cabin pressure as the 789. That's one of the things I wanted to try on a Dreamliner - does the lower cabin pressure and higher humidity make a difference in how you feel? Will we see that on the 7M8?

Can't speak to the 7M8, but on the Dreamliner, noticeable to me on the longer flights. Not much of a difference on YYZ - YVR, but on transpac and transatlantic, definitely feel less "gross" after the flight.

BTW, the 787 has higher cabin pressure, not lower.

WiFi installation for the first MAX is a 2 month job at YLW. There were higher priorities for #1 and having it sit on the ground for 2 months wasn't practical.
Apparently at AC, convenience for AC outweighs serving the customer.

I think your figure is high by a long shot, but regardless, you're looking at it from the perspective of what's convenient for the airline. I don't think DL, UA or AA would introduce a new aircraft, let alone a new type, without having WiFi installed or operational because customers expect to have WiFi.

I can absolutely believe that AA and others would introduce a new aircraft type without having wifi installed initially. It costs money to have all these airframes sit on the ground during the certification process for no reason.
Once certified, the installation time is much reduced.
