Does anyone know how long Allianz normally takes to process flight delay insurance claims from the TD Aeroplan cards? I submitted a claim about a month ago and haven't heard anything yet (except for the initial confirmation that they had received it).

I usually call them and always receive the status of my claim over the phone promptly. I am usually content with the knowledge that Allianz is working on it. Check takes longer than a month to arrive.

Question about td visa infinite privilege aeroplan card:
https://www.td.com/ca/en/personal-ba...rivilege-card/
From the site, it says earn 1.5miles on Air Canada purchases. I see a bunch of small TD Air Canada 1.5X Miles, likely corresponding to domestic travels, but I don't see any that correspond to long haul paid J tickets. I would be expecting thousands of extra of AE from these transactions, anyone have success trying to claim these miles?

I was quite pleased with my first insurance claim on the TD Visa. The flight (which was booked with aeroplan miles) was significantly delayed because of weather and they paid for the full amount I submitted for hotel, food and incidental travel costs (since I ended up flying into a different airport). Everything can be submitted online without the need to call and the cheque for almost $500 arrived in about 5-6 weeks. So that makes the $120 annual fee well worth it for me.

TD Credit Card Insurance Coverage Question for Flights - Used AC Credit
Hi all,
I couldn't find an appropriate forum to put this in, so mods, please move if needed.
Here's the situation: I have a TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege card, and I am flying YVR-HNL next week on AC517. Given the volatile weather situation in Hawaii at the moment, it got me thinking about the travel benefits and coverage that the card comes with. The issue is that I used an Air Canada voucher of $100 (that was given to me from an issue on a previous flight) and had charged the remainder of the flight on my TD Aeroplan VIP Credit Card.
The cardholder agreement for the card found here states that a "COVERED TRIP means travel on a Common Carrier, the fare for which is fully charged to Your Account, or obtained either in full or partially using your Aeroplan Miles. If Your Aeroplan Miles have only partially covered Your Common Carrier fare, the balance of that fare must be fully charged to Your Account."
Not too sure if that nullifies my coverage for Trip Cancellation / Trip Delay / Trip Interruption / Lost or Delayed baggage etc, and just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with this type of situation and whether insurance had still covered the trip. I called Allianz Global Insurance, and they said it's still covered, as the remainder of the trip was charged on the card.. however, I'm not sure if its YMMV.

Help :)
I have a td aeroplan card and my baggage is delayed over 24 hours and I need a change of clothes and toiletries. Problem is, I didn't book the travel with this card I used my aeroplan rewards and the $200 tax was paid for with my aventura (never again! They dont offer %$@) Am I SOL for making a claim? because aventura only lets you make a claim if I used their card and/or rewards for my Entire trip amount -.-

From TD Aeroplan Infinite Visa agreement
"COVERED PERSON means the Account Holder, Spouse or Dependent Children whose name is on the Ticket, or, if no name is on the Ticket, for whom a Ticket has been purchased."
"TICKET means evidence of the fare paid for travel on a Common Carrier and paid in full (1) by charge to Your Account, (2) by redemption of Aeroplan Miles or (3) by a combination of (1) and (2)."
Airlines should reimburse you for travel essentials, provided destination of the delayed flight is not your home town.

CIBC Aerogold Visa defines Full Fare as 75% providing a lot of flexibility.
That's why I ditched my TD Aeroplan Visa for a CIBC one.

i just got a new TD Infinite Visa Aeroplan to replace my RBC Infinite Avion. I've made a few purchases so far and some of them just moved from pending to posted.
On the RBC banking website, i can see the charges and the points that go with each charge. Same thing for Amex cards. Does the TD "EasyWeb" site not show any information about the Aeroplan points one gets for each charge? I see no mention of Aeroplan anywhere on my account pages. Are points transferred in one go at the statement (or payment) date or do they post to AE as you make charges? None of this is critical to the accumulation of points but I'm just curious to know how all of this works.
thanks

Aeroplan #
Miles Earned on Purchases
Bonus / Adjustments Miles Earnes
Total Miles Earned
The above it just a summary; there's no per-transaction detail. The reporting (transaction details, downloadable data, etc) for TD credit cards in general is very, very poor. Especially compared to Amex.
Transferred in one go at the end of the billing cycle. For reference, miles earned on my Jan 22 statement for the Dec 25 - Jan 22 statement period appear in my Aeroplan transaction history as dated Jan 22.

thank you very much for the reply. Now I know what to expect. i must admit that i am very surprised at the lack of detail in this day and age.
