Further, If selling YYZ-WAW-LHR for $2,000 was good for business, LOT would not be on the brink of extinction.

I'm simply interested in their response, if they provide one. Particularly as Dorian is/has been (I'm assuming) a potentially high revenue customer. That's all.

If you have them - sell your AC shares

They've done well recently but once the impact of their crazy fare hikes impacts, and their FF withdraw their support, the end is nigh.
Reminds me of BBY. Seemed unsinkable once

Given that he's not prepared to pay more and more for less and less he's clearly a bottom feeder.

The only reason AC was so much higher is they choose to gouge for one way fares....where other airlines do not.

That's something AC's been all too familiar with more than once in the past 10 years, no? I guess not every airline is as lucky to have a protectionist government back them up all the time though by keeping competition out.

My daughter has to do YYJ-YYZ. I explained the options, Flex versus Tango. With Flex, she could use my eUpgrade points.

But then she said: When you go to a movie at Silver City, would you pay $1 extra for popcorn, just for the chance that they might put butter on it?

She chose Tango. Happy to be a bottom feeder.

Since I am mostly booked for the rest of this year I guess it will still be star partners and I'm not sure if our TA will be instructed to use only flex afterwards. If my flights after Jan. show Tango I'll be switching to KLM/Delta/Westjet codeshare. I have a Petroleum card to get in the lounges already so that will make the transition easier. Everyone who works in the oil and gas industry should know that the petro card is free and you get lounge access right away with a print your card option on signing up.

UPDATE: My upgrade was no problem for me. I was showing Flex 'V' and not Tango 'V' like some others.

Just curious. Were you able to do the upgrade online or did you have to call in. My bookings show Tango with no letter but AC has told me that they are V class now and that I need to phone in. I would rather do the upgrade online. Thanks.

Try requesting an upgrade now. When I do that on my son's account for his booking, the LHR-YYZ Tango "V" segment says "Upgrades can only be requested within 5 days of departure" whereas his YYZ-LHR Tango "K" segment says "The purchased fare class for this flight does not allow for upgrades." So it looks like the system is correctly distinguishing between the fare classes and it will work online in his case.

Will try that to see. Thanks.

Ok people, I am crediting these to Aegean. Now this change by AC means, that those who purchased these booking classes lets say in June will get the original mileage but those who purchase these after the changes will get what they deserve? I am afraid that Aegean will only give me based on when the change comes into effect irrespective of when these were purchased.

I had a similar issue with SWISS once but they gave me the full mileage istead of the reduced one(as they instituted the same change).

If you're based in YYZ and want to fly non-stop to major global/US cities on 1 airline, AC is still your best option. I have adjusted my expectations accordingly. I dont expect anything special from AC - only priority checkin and lounge access.
given that pretty much 100% of my travel is paid for by someone else, i cant complain.
Yes, you can fly 10 different airlines to 10 different cities, whihc might be an option.. but it'll get you nowhere wiht any of them either.

You have heard of Airline Alliances, correct?
