Question about eUpgrades
I'm flying tomorrow YQR-YUL-BRU. I was able to eupgrade the first two legs. I'm not counting on the third one, as it is Y0 J0.
The thing is, when I look in the eUpgrades web page, it shows 6 credits for the first leg (I'm in Flex) and 4 for the second. Now, according to flighstats, the distance YQR-YUL is 1464miles, so if I understand correctly I would need 6 credits to upgrade both legs, not 10. The question is, should I assume that this is a glitch at the web page level and that I'll get 8 credits back (14-6), or should I be worried about those 4 credits? |

Check here, ( the check how many eupgrades you need link) AC has their own way of calculating credits |
It's only 6 from YQR to YUL.

Also system shows a number for each segment, if you get upgraded for both it reduces it to a lower number.

Also, if you click to upgrade both legs, it should cross out 10 and replace it with 6. In regards to the Y0 J0 leg, it must mean that the flight is oversold. Don't take the upgrade; take the VDB compensation! |

Huh? If the first two legs cleared (YQR-YUL and YUL-BRU), what is there to worry about?

OP must have omitted the YYZ connection between YQR and YUL. Don't believe there are any non-stop YQR-YUL flights.

So I ended up being charged 10 credits for YQR-YYZ-YUL, when the distance YQR-YUL is 1460<1500 miles.
I have submitted a claim for this to be reconsidered, we'll see how it goes. |

Now the same thing happened with the inbound flights: BRU-YUL-YOW-YQR. I upgraded the first leg when it became available, and it rightly took 14 credits. But then now I upgraded the YOW-YQR leg, and it took a further 6 credits.
The guy at the reservations desk said that the credits would come back eventually. Can anyone confirm that this is how it usually works? I don't recall having this issue with eupgrades before. |

This isn't how it usually works. Seems something is amiss with the upgrade system. In addition to this, there are some issues with upgraded segments posting for a bunch of people.

Today I got the email with the upgrade, saying clearly that I had been charged 20 credits to upgrade BRU-YQR.
So I called reservations again and got them to involve some office that will look into this, after they acknowledge that it has to be wrong. I will update when I get an answer. Am I the only one with this problem? It happened twice to me during the weekend. |
