While living in seoul, i heard tales of a time when all incoming ROK flights used to land in gimpo (well before icn was built), it was hair raising for the pilots who, if overshot and had to circle back, would end up perilously close to DPRK airspace.

Interesting routing on today's flight. Lots of zig-zagging, which to my untrained eye makes me think these are last-minute ATC instructions vs. a planned approach.
