I booked my first flight on UA yesterday... 20K Q miles worth. I am not giving AC one cent until they show me they want me as a customer. Period!

I am going to book flights on UA sometime in the next 2 weeks for a trip to Asia in March. 18K status miles on Mileage Plus(or Aeroplan depending on benefit changes). I was originally aiming for AA, but their fares are way too high. I am giving up on AC's gawd awful inflight service, not to mention how they are treating "loyal" customers.

Did you see the blurb on the website about the new AC website:

"Just one more way that Air Canada is listening and working to get you there!"

Got to love 'em........If this is "one more way" I am still looking for the others.....

You also gotta love how AC introduced the new website over a week ago and posted a new "annoucement" on their website just today telling people about it. Talk about timing!

My SE number is still in my UA reservation mainly for priority on getting the upgrade and also I am hoping AC will reverse some of the changes before my trip in mid Feb...

With UA, do the COS bonuses and the tier level bonuses count as status miles or just regular miles?

I was told by Delta that if you write a a letter with a copy of your Aeroplan Statement and membership they will consider giving you thier equivalent status in the Sky Miles Program.
Perhaps AC should consider the loss of a few members !

Here is the conatct information
