Star Alliance survey

Mods, I will keep this comment related to Air Canada as much as possible.

Anyone other AE members get this email to participate in the *A survey?

One of the first questions was to list the *A carriers flown in the last 6 months.

Overall, I didn't give AC high points in many areas. Failed them completely when it comes to priority baggage.

I'm SE. Anyone at E or P get this survey?

As a rule, I generally avoid surveys because they tend to phrase the questions to generate positive results. This one was better because it allowed comparisons between airlines.

Just curious....

E, no survey, and I agree entirely with the above

I'm E and got the survey. Not completed yet though.

DWM Nov 27, 2012 4:47 am

I am SE and got the survey.

acysb87 Nov 27, 2012 5:02 am

No survey to this SE^

kelapstick Nov 27, 2012 5:09 am

E - No survey

jarusoba Nov 27, 2012 5:32 am

Self: SE. Got the survey
SO: SE. Got the survey

Didn't bother to answer.

Rule No. 1:

Never answer a survey truthfully. Instead, do your best to provide answers that will help make things go the way you would like them to go.

In the past, when getting phone survey, I would first ask, whom do I invoice for my time. Would make them go away real quick. :D

The whole thing is really getting something for nothing. Abusing on people being too nice.

Same here. Guess my recent complaints about the Tango enhancement disqualified me.:p

gabdusch Nov 27, 2012 7:00 am

Got the survey - I liked that you could directly compare airlines on specific points.

canolakid Nov 27, 2012 7:20 am

SE- received the survey. I like that they asked why I liked other alliances...

mendy7511 Nov 27, 2012 7:52 am

I got the survey and filled it out.
They had an interesting question asking which benefits I would like and a long list of possibilities.

getaround Nov 27, 2012 8:58 am

Yep did it yesterday

Symmetre Nov 27, 2012 9:01 am

E - no survey. They may be afraid to ask.

PhotoJim Nov 27, 2012 9:23 am

P, no survey.

FlyingUsedToBeFun Nov 27, 2012 9:24 am

E - no survey.

mendy7511 Nov 27, 2012 10:49 am

And they specifically mention FT in the survey.

Got the survey and completed it.

One idiotic thing in the survey was they asked which other FF programs you belong to and if you checked a Oneworld or SkyTeam airline they then asked what status you had but there was no choice for zero status.

I put in a plug for Star creating a tier above Gold for those flying 100,000+ miles per year and for better integration of their FF mileage accumulation especially for codeshares.

I also suggested a tier above Gold. Great Minds...

IluvSQ Nov 27, 2012 11:43 am

SE- completed the survey

Shareholder Nov 27, 2012 11:46 am

Got it too. Slammed SQ lounge access policy, limited award access on SQ and LH premium. Also the need for a true top tier like ONEWORLD Emerald to separate out the masses of Golds.

I am elite, got the survey, My #1 suggestion for an amazing alliance program was to provide complimentary upgrades across the network when possible. Obviously, if you are travelling on an airline which is different from your loyalty program you would have a very low priority. I was happy to see this as one of the options. Hopefully they will implement something like this.

SE - Didn't get the survey, but I got a lovely $10 off coupon for e-Boutique. Now I can finally afford that stuff I want for Christmas...

luchoqc Nov 27, 2012 3:09 pm

No survey for the E I am...

I'm Elite, got the survey and just filled out. I liked that they asked us to prioritize top 5 benefits.

As an aside, (sorry, not meaning to go off topic) also got the AE Boutique coupon, but only for $5 off, not $10. Difference between E and SE?

morphius909 Nov 27, 2012 5:42 pm

Elite-No Survey.

Or maybe it's in my junk box LOL

Plumber Nov 27, 2012 8:09 pm

Got the email and did the survey- voted for upgrades on *A carriers as number one pick...

tobegold Nov 27, 2012 8:15 pm

E no survey, maybe because I only put 13K EQM to aeroscam this year (and 106K EQM to another program) thanks to aeroscams enhancements.

YEG ex Executive Platinum Nov 27, 2012 8:16 pm

Ditto - tier above Gold

SE, received and completed survey a few days ago. Imagine that the suggestion to add top tier to mirror SE and member equivalents will be a common one.

I also added a suggestion that a benefit for such a new membership level would be preferred access to Star Alliance upgrades. I've been finding spotty at best success in using Aeroplan points for business to first upgrades on SQ, NH and LH, even when there's loads of room in F....

HerpaYvr Nov 28, 2012 6:43 am

SE- did my survey yesterday

Focused on the lack of consistency between star alliance airlines, and made reference to poor lounge access and code sharing issues for credit.

With AC it was about priority luggage and lack of acknowledgement of staff to their F/F.
