Calculating eUpgrade Credits

So, I think I may have messed up on a booking that may leave me short of eUpgrade credits, forcing me to make a choice.

I have a flight booked from YEG to PHX through YYZ (yes, I know but it was the only way to meet a time constraint). The problem is that I the website didn't show it as connecting flight this time even though it often is. I booked it as two separate flight segments on the same PNR. They are, of course, two different T+ fares (one is L, the other T). They are within the 4 hour connection time.

At the time of booking, I didn't have status so I didn't think about it. So, if I upgrade both segments, what's the calculation going to be. 1) 20 credits for two separate >1500 mile flights, 2) 10 credits for one connecting >1500 mile flight, or 3) 6 credits for one connecting <1500 mile flight (the actual mileage between YEG/PHX city pair?

Edit: I'm not within my booking window to see what the system requests and I have two flights before then I would like to upgrade but only if it leaves me enough for this flight.

If this is one PNR and all AC then it should cost you 10!

YEG-YYZ-PHX should be 10 if each connection is within four hours of each other, although that rule does not always apply.

I'd think it should be 6 credits...

I am assuming T+ fares so it would be 10. Its 10 from YYZ to PHX and when you throw in YEG to YYZ the system crosess out the extra 10 and states 10.

I just came back yesterday from YVR-LAX-YYZ-YOW and that was ten! Yes its long but better in J. As long as its AC and the same PNR, so muliti city booking and you give up any discounts codes, but save on duplicate security BS fees. Not many people do what i do, yes a few but not many, works out nicely if you like AC food :D

That was certainly my hope - that they calculate based on Origin-Final Destination mileage rather than actual mileage flown.

OP will be charged either 6 or 20 credits depending on if the website shows this as a connection in YYZ. I suspect all will be ok with 2 Tango Plus fares on one PNR connecting within 6 hours.

If a connecting flight the website will show each segment as 10 credits and replace with 6 once combined (all that matters is YEG-PHX, the connecting city is not relevant).

If not connecting each segment will be 10 credits for a total of 20.

10 credits is not an option given the 2 scenarios above unless you choose not to request an upgrade for one of the segments.

And indeed it was 6 credits. R space on both flights at T-4 so confirmed for 6 credits. Thanks everyone for the advance help. It gave me confidence to use my other credits earlier this week to upgrade a YEG-YYZ red eye and I haven't blown all my credits.
