*G's from other airlines now get access to preferred bulkhead seats?!

Was looking at the seat selection page for a flight today and noticed the below blurb next to the perferred seat legend... New development? I remember the preferred bulkhead seats were only available for SE's and E's and other general *G's complaining they couldn't access them.

* Preferred seat - Complimentary for you and your travel companion(s) on the same booking if: you are a Super Elite customer travelling on a Tango Plus or Latitude fare, or an Elite customer or Star Alliance Gold member (with another airline) travelling on a Tango Plus fare ( front row bulkhead only) or Latitude fare.

I've been able to get them as a LH SEN for awhile now.

Can AC *G's now select preferred type seats on LH? I know we can't select E+ on United, and that's similar leg room to the bulkheads I suppose.

Nope, *G members cannot select any preferred seats on LH. However, LX does allow *G members to select preferred and exit row seats (one more reason I prefer LX over LH).

I just bought three seats on UA flying from the US and I was told I get free access to E+ plus one guest! With three of us flying it sucks if one stays behind.

You got lucky.... thats not policy.

I got lucky 2 weeks ago when an AC agent (after a 38 minute wait on the phone) assigned me the precious 12K on a 767.
