Hi,

I'll be flying AC 917 MIA-YYZ on July 23

Turns out I need to be in YWG that day instead of YYZ, AC.com shows the flight I'm on AC 917 connect AC269 YYZ-YWG.

It is cheaper for me to buy the YYZ-YWG leg than it is to change my destination from YYZ to YWG

My question is whether it is possible to connect the flights and use a single set of eupgrades as if I were on a single ticket MIA-YYZ-YWG?

Thanks

My experience is no you can't. You'll need to upgrade each leg separately.

That's too bad, I assume I'm still covered if the inbound from MIA is late and requires me to be rebooked onto a later YWG flight

Separate tickets typically means your risk in the event of a misconnect (although AC MIGHT protect you since it is all AC metal).

If it isn't too much more, I'd simply change your reservation. Less eUpgrades and you'll be protected in the event of a misconnect.

It was about $400 more to make the change including a $150 change fee.
