It comes as the remaining labour contracts — with pilots and machinists — are to be settled through arbitration in the coming months.
When asked to confirm this, Dee said in an email: “Unfortunately, I can’t confirm or deny anything at this point.”
Air Canada could not be immediately reached for comment.
Dee, who has worked on Parliament Hill, is responsible for operations and customer service as well as government relations.

Having worked with Duncan in the past and seeing how he always found time to stop in and chat with staff in YOW, I know that Duncan is respected and admired. His common sense approach will be missed.
I wish him well in his new endeavours.

I will second the motion that Duncan was a great guy, helpful and respectful of my business...how many other airline execs would be trying to help find a solution to a problem on Thanksgiving Day tapping away on his Blackberry as his family dinner was being served...or encouraging me to take a trip that I thought might have to be postponed because of pending labour issues and all went off without a hitch. Other airline execs, particularly south of the border, could learn something from Duncan...he should set up a consulting business with Deborah Norville and teach some southerly sloths about the key word of respect. Best wishes in all your future endeavours, Duncan.

Really? His longstanding antagonism towards the Liberals, whom he once worked for as an aide, make it hard for me to seer him as anything more than a political hack. He contributed to the politicization of the airline, particularly in the labor disruptions.
I m sure he's a great guy and all, but the political nonsense surrounding AC happened during his watch. That the COO of AC lived in YOW, away from HQ and the airlines main hub ... well, make of it what you will.
