Awards availability YYZ-DUB

Need to go from mid-to end of July to early / mid August. Nothing shows on the Aeroplan calendar for J/F, which is quite unusual for a route. Is YYZ-DUB not a route typically available for award seats?

I think the route will be comfort class so no J.

J class is not offered on this route. Front cabin is domestic J sold as Comfort Plus.

No, it's a route without J class, only Comfort Plus.

Hmmm, what if I went via LHR or some other airport, or are there no partner airlines that fly to DUB?

I also have AA miles, and I called them to try booking BA Club or First for YYZ-DUB via LHR, but they said they don't have a partner that goes from YYZ to DUB.

It's a special trip that I have planned and I really don't want us to fly Economy.

JFK-DUB is open for TWO in J on July 22, 23, 24, 25, 31 and aug 1st.

To get to JFK you'll need to fly Y YYZ-JFK, also available during the above mentioned dates.

I hope that helps.

*EDIT** some of those dates I mentioned above for JFK-DUB have segments in Y. sorry.
some of them have all legs in J but some are in Y. For example, July 24th has Y segs but July 25th has segments ALL in J.
JFK-Brussels-FRA-DUB. Sorry, not very direct huh? But all in J.

ALSO on July 31st there are two seats available on Lufthansa YYZ-FRA, then from FRA you can get to DUB in J or Y however it's not showing up in Aeroplan when you search YYZ-DUB but will show up if you search YYZ-FRA then FRA-DUB.

You do realize that flying AC or BA will cost you about $700 in fees per ticket. You are best to use AA option above if you cannot find UA space.

Worth checking UA from EWR direct to DUB too. They have J on that route. I don't think their ORD flights have award availability, as they're operated by EI.

AC has J on some days on the YYZ-DUB direct during the summer this year. Not sure if they're releasing it for rewards though. Haven't looked for it.

Finally, it's possible via the call centre to book EI flights using BA Avios. http://thepointsguy.com/2012/04/usin...el-surcharges/
