I've always wanted to drive across the country. At one time, that was the plan -- box up the equipment and drive it there.
I've had good luck getting Canadian plated cars out of BUF, but I'll be very happy on June 1 when I can drive a US plated car into Canada without issue.
BTW, DL shows SEA-BUF for about $450++ return in J. But I'm not certain how much of the journey would actually be in J.

mrs ght for tpac travel........................
(1) reduction of aeroplan miles/status miles
(2) higher fares making it more competitive with other carriers (namely CX/BR)
(3) bad departure times to Asia out of YYZ (prefer red eyes)
(4) better meal choices for Y class on Asian carriers
(5) status match from CX to their silver level (which has lounge access)

True, but it is relative. Compare the product offered to NA competitors and AC comes out on top. I'd love to fly WJ and Asian cariers more often, but it is AC that offers the routes and times I need. I'll take AC over the UA/AA/DL options even if more expensive because AC is much better, plus I can usually avoid transiting through the USA with all of the unpleasantness that involves. It is painful using AC and yes, you are right that J class sucks in NA. However, J class hasn't been a premium class on NA airlines the way it is in Asia or the middle east for at least a decade.

Surely nobody booking an international business fare on AC thinks they are getting First no matter what it is called. Domestically I can't say I have any complaints say on an AC 3XX J cabin YYZ-YUL compared to any European airline biz class short haul product.
