Different versions of G&M?
I was looking for the Douglas McArthur column in the Globe and Mail this morning (YVR) but couldn't find it. I just checked their website and it saids "Print edition R11" but the R section in my paper only goes up to R8.

Actually there are three versions of the G&M: Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They sell different ads for the different editions, and stuff gets cut if there's less advertising. I think Toronto usually has 12pp, Ontario 8pp, and Canada 4pp. Of course it's the feature article that runs, and the columns and syndicated stuff (from Knight-Ridder and the like) that gets cut. Douglas MacArthur often doesn't make the Ontario edition here in Ottawa (printed in Montreal, I think). They don't bother updating the Table of Contents. andrew |
McArthur's column appears once a month in the abbreviated Wednesday Travel Section of the non-Toronto editions. When I was in Edmonton my only access most of the time was from the website. Did the article on airline food make the National and Ontario editions?

I guess London must get the TO edition. I've just finished reading both the McArthur and the food columns

Grimsby (QEW next to Stoney Creek) gets the Toronto edition.

Yes, that made it out here as well. |
