How far back is your Aeroplan number?

Hello,

I'm curious, how far back can we trace the "lowest" (active of course) Aeroplan number in numerical sequence?

For instance, I joined Aeroplan in Aug. 89 and was issued number 133 XXX XXX.
Aeroplan began in 1984.

How low can we take this... the "game is afoot", as they say.

The lowest I've seen:
151 XXX XXX
111 0XX XXX

I don't know if this is a valid portrayal of when you joined AE. For instance, my mom and I joined the same day, I through AE.com and my mom through AC.com and I got 563 XXX XXX and my mom got 783 XXX XXX.

Im actually not sure Aeroplan numbers are issued in sequential order.

I take care of a few peoples AE accounts and one member who joined in 2009 has a number starting with 349 while another person who joined in 2011 has a number starting with 542. That would be quite an impressive growth in members within 18 months.

Great - Thanks!

Just to add more to this: During the eighties, a new application required the payment of a one time fee. It was, I believe $50.00 or $100.00. Mine was waived. As I recall, they wanted me to come over from CP (Canadian) which incidentally, didn't work.. I stayed true.

There is very little written on the history of Aeroplan membership. History of the Maple Leaf Club. Even history of the CP Kanata Club. The books that have been written of CP (including Canadian), AC, Wardair (Max Ward) have nothing about the subject.

I agree - the four of us in my family all joined together in the mid 90's... three of us have numbers starting with 9XX but my youngest (most junior?) has one that begins 599. This would suggest that either numbers are randomly generated, or that older numbers are recycled.
