I'm seeing all sorts of nice flights, like JFK-FRA (SQ J on 388) followed by FRA-NRT (LH F on 388) but the message always comes up at the end:

Unfortunately, the itinerary you requested is not available. Please select alternative flights.

How do you book such complex itineraries online? I don't know how to do anything other than a simple roundtrip with no stopvers.

Is there any way to find out the expected fuel surcharges without having the miles in the account? I only have few hundred AP miles in the account right now, but can transfer the necessary miles from Amex to make the booking.

Also, is there a complete list somewhere of all airlines for which Aeroplan doesn't charge a YQ? I know that they don't charge it for UA/CO, US, and TAP, but are there any others?

Use the Multi-City tool....it allows you to search up to three legs..... so I did

YYZ-SIN
SIN-NRT
NRT-YYZ

In the search results look for those with multiple trips to get from A-->B

They should do an option to add 4th leg....so 2 stopover + 1 point of turnaround

Thanks. I don't know why but I've never used the multi city tool. It's really quite useful...i've been missing out.

Slightly newb question here, but I'll ask anyway..

Of course we don't know when this bug will be fixed, so naturally I'd like to book as soon as possible. I don't have enough in my AP account at the moment, but have SPG points I want to transfer. How long does it usually take to transfer SPG -> AP? Also, is the AP transfer promo bonus credited immediately with the transfer of the SPG points, or is it a rolling sweep (i.e. once a week or something)?

Thanks!!

American Express points transfer instantly, SPG takes a while in my experience. (Few days to a few weeks)

Thanks for the quick reply. Pity, but after playing around with AP I can't even get the J or F tix to price without encountering an error.

Oh well...
