Flying through Toronto to YVR from Jamaica Friday

Dear folks

I fear this board may be peppered with possible scenarios, but I thought I would ask advice. Returning from Jamaica to YVR, via Toronto on Friday.

1. Is back to work legislation likely to come through before the weekend?

2. While the likelihood of the jamaica toronto flight might be covered by management, I expect the YYZ to YVR flight will not. Is this correct?

3. Will AC allow my work to cancel flight (or get credit...although they are a US based firm and don't use AC much) for the legs even if they are expected to operate the flight? It seems to me a better chance of getting home, if we just book continental through fort lauderdale.

And waaah is me...my first upgraded trip, (using my hard earned elite status and eupgrades) since 2005, when I moved to Honduras and lost my super elite status.

Thanks Lorna

p.s. I assume I will get my eupgrade credits back if I cancel.

How could that be? Parliament went home for Thanksgiving. Probably not before middle of next week I would say.

Who knows? Might even be the opposite? Indeed some YYZ-YVR might stay if only to support folks with international connections. While I have a hard time seeing Jamaica as a priority?

If your flight gets canceled you'll get your money back. If not, who knows.

Absolutely.

Will wait until Thursday to book alternatives to see how it plays out.
