When to request upgrade
 

For the first time I am going to try e-upgrade a Tango Plus ticket. I am flying to FRA on Sept 8 and back from LHR on Sept 12. As an E, do I request the upgrade online exactly 96 hours before departure? As I am flying from YWG, do I do this 96 hours before YWG departure or YYZ departure?

Sept 8 AC 876 looks to me like I have a chance of upgrading. Sept 12 AC 857 looks even better. Am I reading this right? Anyone care to guess?

eUpgrades open 96 hours before each flight - if I were you I'd try to upgrade your whole itinerary at 96 hours before your YYZ-FRA flight. If you really want the upgrade from YWG, then upgrade at 96 hours before that flight but you'll then have to go back in a few hours later to do the second flight.

You can request the upgrade exactly 96h before each flight segment.

AC876 shows J9 C9 D0 Z0 R0 Y9 W9
Upgrade chances don´t seem too bad, but I wouldn´t say the upgrade is guaranteed. YYZ-FRA r/t flights often have 20+ E/SEs on the waitlist.

AC857 is showing J9 C8 Z8 D8 Z8 R8 Y8 Q4 V0
Business class cabin seems pretty empty. I´d say chances of getting an upgrade are excellent, but you can better predict your chances once the 7day window for SEs has opened.
