You certainly can carry Timbits through US CBP, you just have to declare them. I find it ironic that if you don't want to be in the position of having anything to declare, it is completely technically correct to possess no food, and therefore to declare no food, at the material moment of being asked, but then to acquire declareable food prior to entering the physical USA (as opposed to the notional USA post preclearance). I find that the situation contains an incongruity between what is believed and accepted to be true and what actually is true, hence "ironic". |

I'm in the YYC MLL tonight (May 15) from 10:30-11:30 p.m. before boarding AC168 to YOW. Anyone else travelling YYC-YOW tonight on 168?

If anyone is at YEG this Friday night I can guest one person into the Plaza Premium lounge from about 7:30pm until the late AC YVR flight leaves around 10pm. Just PM me.

AC uses both "A" and "G" gates. The international "G" gates connect airside to United's "F" gates in Terminal 3. If your AC flight is out of a "G" gate then yes you can access the United Club. If your AC flight is out of the "A" gates then you cannot access the UC without exiting security. In this case, the Delta lounge is available to you. "A" gate arrival / departures are also a PITA if you are connecting to/from United as you've got to re-clear security. There's also a bit of a walk. Oh well, it's open 24 hrs and better than paying for a hotel, visa, etc for my short stopover. Plus the wine is far better than the swill they serve in the UA Clubs. Speaking of which, I should requalify for my 2014 UA 1K status this weekend. ^ |
