This is a master thread to post any lounge meet up requests / invite requests forum members might have. It'd be great if you could post your lounge guesting/request in the same format as below...
A reminder - those offering guesting are quite happy to be guested to a superior lounge!

If you have the ability to make changes to the WIKI, please do so yourself rather than replying to the thread!

OFFER REQUEST MEET (i.e. will be there but can't guest) dd-MMM-yyyy / hh:mm / XXX / Terminal Lounge / FlyerTalkName
Please note the date format so as to avoid confusion

Please do not write OFFER/MEET; if you are able to guest someone in, it is implied you can also meet them without guesting them in.

I don't have much of a choice. Living in Toronto, AC takes me to all my required destinations.

It is what it is... being disgruntled does not mean boycott. I'll still fly AC but hold a grudge. The soft product needs some super serious work.

I love AC's hard product. I love their J product (except for HD), I enjoy the J food, I think the MLLs are pretty darn good... but the soft product... can get pretty pathetic at times. AC IT is dreadful.

Basically, in the rare times of real need (read: IRROPS), I often end up fending for myself. I rarely get proactive help. I rarely ask for help. However, a couple weeks ago I was proactively helped by the YVR concierge, which restored some faith and universal order... some.

Pretty much. I'm a FT lifer one way or the other. I may not like how things are with the state of this forum and the handful of useless idiots who post here and fly once a year while wagging their wart and fecal infested fingers at me, but I have to play by the rules if I want to play in the sandbox.

I don't think it's welcome back.. I never really left. I was just voicing my displeasure.

I don't like how things are with this forum, but so be it. Many people here "meta-post"... that is, they respond or post about someone else's post rather than directly assisting or helping with the situation. This is mostly symptomatic of those who actually have little experience flying on AC or booking with AE, yet feel they have some sort of God-given power to berate us who spend 6-figures flying AC metal yearly, hundreds of thousands of miles BIS, and devote a lot of their time helping others here in various ways. This is along with AC's soft product, which sucks balls most of the time.

To be fair, they don't market is as business class.

You just end up in it on connections with an expectation because they have JCDZPI fare buckets to allow for "easy" connections from partners.

You actually get quite a few "business class" perks, like baggage limits, baggage priority, lounge access, etc.

But it's really just more leg room at the front of the plane with some free food. As long as you set your expectations accordingly...

My first time in SAS Plus was connecting off an intercontinental first class flight, so I know how much of a letdown it can be

YVR transborder. Can guest one, and I have a soon-to-expire pass.

I'm in the hardwood floor area, back corner, overlooking the people movers.

I'll be taking a short jaunt to the business centre to print some stuff, but that should be quick.

Edit: I'm on AC 1844, which was just delayed, so I'll be here for a while yet.

That YVR transborder terminal map always cracks me up.

What's the spread like right now? Last time I was there I filled out this massive survey as they had all these random dishes out to try.

Three types of sandwiches. Two soups (or maybe one's chili). Some kind of bean salad, a regular salad, some cookies.

I'm too lazy to get up and check exactly what's there

As for the terminal map, it's actually pretty similar to YYZ international, but yes, I see where you're going with this

You are right, it usually is, but right now the red chairs near the food is two thirds empty, the two sections of comfy chairs is half empty, the tv area & computer area is one third empty.

there is only one or two people at a time at the food table, so its quiet right now.

lots of weekend warriors and tourist
