FlyerTalk Forums Expert How-Tos and Guides
Last edit by: Adam Smith
This is a master thread to post any lounge meet up requests / invite requests forum members might have. It'd be great if you could post your lounge guesting/request in the same format as below...
A reminder - those offering guesting are quite happy to be guested to a superior lounge!

If you have the ability to make changes to the WIKI, please do so yourself rather than replying to the thread! If you are asking to be guested, please only add to the wiki - do not post in the thread.

OFFER REQUEST MEET (i.e. will be there but can't guest) dd-MMM-yyyy / hh:mm / XXX / Terminal Lounge / FlyerTalkName
Please note the date format so as to avoid confusion

Please do not write OFFER/MEET; if you are able to guest someone in, it is implied you can also meet them without guesting them in.

YVR dom right now, until about 1045 local time.

I'm close to the no cell zone (or maybe in it - I'm not sure), wearing a blue FT t-shirt, on a MacBook.

Any pictures of it?

Seems to me that, if the broth is done correctly, Pho is a pretty hard thing to not get right.

Then again, some pastas are awful so I guess we can't be surprised.

Are you sure?
Did you try to jiggle the plate to see if anything moves?

I have found that MLL to be rather underwhelming.

I thought about doing that, but truth be told I was scared to see the results. So we've moved on to plan b, the liquid meal.

Edit: And that was my 100th post, definitely a milestone worthy of a top up.

YYZ TB has always been one of my least favourite lounges in the system.

In the YYC MLL now until about 9AM Mountain.

Might be in YYZ TB around 3:15-3:30PM Eastern, very briefly. Or it might not be so brief, if they bump me to a later flight to LGA since we're already 30 minutes delayed out of YYC.

YEG MLL until 1300. Quiet in here, too quiet.

No sign of a bartender, either!

YYZ domestic until AC 33. Back to the elevated platform, beside a table with one of the Bell phones, wearing a red FT t-shirt.

I have an interesting shower story

I walk up to the desk, and ask to have a shower. The agent takes a look, and there's no wait! Amazing!

So we walk over, she unlocks it, and I go in. I unfold the bath mat and place it just outside the shower, lay out my new clothes, and strip down. As I'm walking into the shower, something catches my eye. The towel looks off. Not perfectly folded and laid out, and just... odd.

So I reach out and touch it, and it is extremely damp[1].

The hand towel was also missing, the garbage had not been emptied, and there was some kind of dirt in the sink, which leads me to believe a cleaning had not been done (or at the very least, had only been started, since there WAS no hand towel, but the bath mat was perfect).

So I get dressed and walk back to the desk and explain the situation. Luckily, number 2 is also empty, so I head in there, and have a wonderful shower, so I'm now fresh for my flight

So here's the provoking thought: What if I hadn't noticed the towel, and had instead taken the shower? I probably would have ended up calling the concierge, but that's got to be the most awkward call to make. "Uhhh...hi. I'm in the Toronto domestic lounge, shower number one, and... I need a towel. Yeah. Please send one."

[1]The damp towel was significantly more damp than mine after I finished with it, almost as if it had been used to mop up the floor.

@ Cow = YUCK. Another reason I stay away from MLL's. The shower at the YYZ PPL Dom is always empty and always clean!

Anyways, i'll be at YYZ PPL Dom tomorrow morning at around 1045am. If anyone's around please PM me or reply here!

Given the number of showers I've had in the MLL, I'm going to write this off as a one-time thing.

If it happens again, my opinion will change.

As for being empty, I've found that aside from Saturday mornings, I've never had to wait for YYZ domestic showers.
