Aeroplan Miles on Alitalia?
 

I am thinking of flying FCO-YYZ on AC metal but with an Alitalia ticket (its a long story.) Do I get Aeroplan miles? If not then what's the recommended plan?

You get the points if the airline code & flight # on the ticket is ACxxx, even if the ticket itself is issued by Alitalia. If it says AZxxxx, then you don't get the points.

I'm not sure how you rectify it without reissuing the ticket.
