Air Canada/Aeroplan passengers can now enjoy free alcohol in UA RCC lounges

I happened to notice a sign in the RCC lounge in SFO day before yesterday, to this effect - that various alcoholic beverages are supplied free of charge.

Maybe this policy change is due to the UA/CO merger - the merged airline will take the policy of the CO lounges.

You'd have to be one to stomach the free bar brands! They still charge for the better brands and beers beyond Bud Lite!

Probably of equal interest, you can now ask for a T-Mobile wifi card as it is now free and open to all lounge users. Though T-Mobile sucks as much as the bar brands...

the T mobile is an improvement (not that it's hard to beat) over MLL wifi, however, you need to reload the login screen 3-8 times just so you can enter your T mobile card number.

Indeed. Their free red wine makes the MLL selections look like classic vintages. And Bud Lite ... ugh.

I wonder how the alcoholic beverages (quality wise) compare between the UA, US, and CO lounges?

How does these beverages (although alluded above) compare with those in the MLL, or those in the Plaza Premium lounges at YYZ or at YVR?

All I can compare to is RCC and Koru and MLL. My last CO lounge visit was 5 years ago.

Koru has an excellent selection of beverages. MLL is OK. RCC is bad. I bought decent beer in the RCC as opposed to drinking Bud Lite.

Clearly you haven't been to the MLLs where they decide Coors Light and Molson Canadian will be the two beers on offer.

I think I'm one of the only Coors Light defenders on FT. Love it!

Guinness seems to be present in each MLL I have visited lately.

No, I believe YukonPrince is also a staunch defender of the silver bullet. Beyond that there certainly is no one else!
