One Red and 10 Blue to go...

Flying to Las Vegas in a few weeks with my husband, and I have one red cert and like 10 blue certs left. What's the best way to book a flight and both get upgrades using these leftover certs? Should I book a lat fare for myself (to redeem a blue) and then a T+ fare (to redeem a red) for my husband with no status? It's not that cheap going that method...any ideas/tips?

Thanks in advance!

If anything you should book your husband into Lat and give him a blue with instant upgrade. You have status so you're much more likely to get an upgrade at the gate.

Could also try to find M/U fares in T+ and hope the upgrade clears.

Best option is to use the red cert on yourself and leave your husband at home for the weekend.

Agree with FFYYZ: "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas".

You could purchase a 8 credit Florida Plus pass and make 2 RT's each before the end of Feb using up 8 blue certs. These book into M class. Keep the red cert as a souveneir of when you used to be able to actually upgrade on AC (or not in your case)!

This purchase will also earn you some e-certs for next year.
