Is the AP website functioning?

I've spent hours online trying to get the website to work. Each search takes up to 5 minutes to come back with a choice.

On Friday it was for summer travel but now we have emergency travel leaving tomorrow (family member had a heart attack and we are trying to get there.)

The website shows United rewards are available (after the 5 minute result for choices and another 2 - 3 minutes for the pricing to come up.) But when I press to continue to book the ticket I get a 503 error.

Tried three browsers over 2 computers, 2 OS but all the same internet provider.

Is anyone else getting through to booking? Or will I have to print off the results and pay the agent charge?

Xth time was the charm. But it took 11 minutes to make the booking in total (and I already knew which flights to pick and the passenger was already in the system so the only data entry was the credit card number.)

I got both 503 and 502 errors and tried signing in to www1 and www2 aeroplan.ca. Nothing but luck of the draw seemed to work.

Does anyone know what is wrong with their end right now? Obviously, it is functioning somewhat (and we scored a YOW-SFO ticket leaving in under 18 hours for $86 +25K miles) so I suppose I shouldn't complain. But having to try over and over was frustrating. It is as if they've transferred the policy of call back and try another agent to the website and now we have to keep trying the same entries over and over, hoping we'll get through.

Seems to be working as best as it can.

Just tried to book a flight to Vancouver and it took under 2 minutes

If you did get 502 or 503 error, it is not your ISP problem. It is the PDP-11 they use to host their Web Site and Database is too busy processing other requests.

So it appears! And I'll have to admit that I didn't use the System/360 -- or the IBM 1130 -- until the mid-1970s. I'm a n00b by comparison ...

Young whippersnappers - I started on an NCR 315 in 1963 and moved up to a 1401...

PDP-11s were much too sophisticated - I had a PDP-8 at one point.
