I have enough Air Miles to make a pretty good trip now- just wondering if say for instance I redeemed some points to fly YYZ-LHR, would I then be entitled to AC points?
Same question again-but for hilton's 85,000 point redemption for a North American flight.

Air Miles tickets accrue Aeroplan miles under the same rules as a consolidated fare. I have no idea about Hilton. This subject was discussed at great length in another thread.

In the past, I redeemed a ticket, and Airmiles told me that it was ineligible for Aeroplan mileage since it was a redemption ticket.

But I called A/C reservations to have my Aeroplan number put in, and I did get the miles credited after the flight.

My impression is you will get miles when you put your Aeroplan # in. When I ask the agent to do so, she never noticed it was an Air Miles ticket. But should you need to send in copy of your tix for mileage credit, you might not be able to get it, since the Air Miles tix looks weird. (No fare caluclations, in the fare calculations box, it is just printed with asterisks.) Let us know if you have received any miles.
