Change in the definition of Flight Pass Activity

Hmmm, I just noticed this when I was trying to respond to another thread.

2010 definition of Flight Pass Activity
With the purchase of an eligible Flight Pass of 6, 8 or 10 flight credits (excludes Unlimited Flight Passes and Flight Passes for Business);
With every eligible 10 flight credits used in conjunction with a Flight Pass;
Per month for the duration of the travel period with the purchase of an eligible Unlimited Flight Pass.
And here is the 2011 definition
With the purchase of an eligible Flight Pass of 6, 8 or 10 flight credits (excludes Unlimited Flight Passes and Flight Passes for Business).
With every eligible 10 flight credits used in conjunction with a Flight Pass for Business.
Per month for the duration of the travel period with the purchase of an eligible Unlimited Flight Pass.
I really hope that this is a mistake. That is a very significant change and makes the U class flight passes even more useless. I didn't notice this anywhere else where changes were discussed.

If one chooses the status miles option for flight pass activity,

does that mean that one double dips (if one chooses the status miles option):

status miles throught the select package option

PLUS

status miles obtained directly from purchasing the flight pass?

I don't think there is a change being made here.

Currently you get 2 certs when you purchase a personal use pass and you get 2 certs after flying 10 flights on a corp pass.

For the last two years on personal passes you received 2 certs for every 10 segments that you flew (not credits used) in addition to the 2 that you received for buying them.

From YOW this was very handy because it is very easy to turn 2 credits into 5 or 6 segments to rack up certs fairly quickly.
