I believe AC Elite and SuperElite are also given complimentary Gold this year. However, through that promotion, you could earn an easy 50K points which is good for 4-5 night stay at some hotels if used as point stretcher.
I am splitting my 3 night stay in YVR into 3 stays at both Hilton and Hampton Inn starting tomorrow before heading onto HKG...!
