Roll call: Who will drop in status for 2011

After 5 years at Elite I will drop to Basic for 2011, with only 2000 status miles (!).

I do have 10000 miles booked for January already, so it looks like I have a shout at Elite by the middle of the year.

I am requalifying for SE again next year.

The cut-back/ watered down IKK program seemingly directly linked to R inventory is a gut to SE program and many would agree that this is a drop in status for SEs

The good news is that both children will be eligible to travel unaccompanied next year.

The only question is where to send them. One way tickets overseas can be expensive.

But it's a one time expense

The only 'other' question is whether or not zorn will be allowed to travel unaccompanied next year.

2.5 years at Elite (early qualification in 2008, so June 2008-March 2011) and dropping to Tangerine. And my employer is using WerstJet far more often now. *sigh*

More time at home is good, but less MLL access for the lovely husband is less so. At least he gets a mini-RTW while I still have *G status to enjoy.

Lamenting my forthcoming E to P drop (8100 status miles short). Might be bearable next year since I've already booked a few J trips and will have three MLL certs.

Still, those transpac SSWUs will be greatly missed.

My favourite part about westjet's website is their list of lounges that passengers can access... all paid

Elite to Prestige to no special status next year; other than a possibility of jumping right back to Elite due to some probability of heavy travel early next year. Still have some upgrade cert's to carry me through Feb '11.

I already re-qualified for SE for 2011. But there will be a cloud lingering on whether or not I'll be able to do it again for 2012.

After going back to university for round 3, I'm dropping from Elite to L'Orange for the foreseeable future. I'm hoping for one more upgrade and I booked my last flight as Elite such that I'd have a lengthy layover in the YVR MLL -- DUSALD anyone?

Not sure what you mean by that or where you're going with that statement. I merely stated the uncertainty for a particular status for a particular year. And just in case I don't retain it again, no I won't whine one bit about it. Don't know why you are trying to twist my words into thinking it's the end of the world.

Don't think it's a snipe at you, more a referral to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_phenomenon

Back on topic - I've had 18 months at E, I've enjoyed my time in the MLLs, in J at economy prices and most importantly jumping queues at check-in and boarding! Now I must be civilised and join the throngs. Now I live in the same country as my wife, there's much less flying to be done.

I love AC but I'm looking forward to trying other airlines again!
