Be Careful!! Be very careful!!! When AC/AP says they are improving the product it really means they'll make it less accessible and push you towards redeeming points for toasters (no limit to how many they'll sell you for 81,000 points apiece) Now to wait with bated breath for the next set of enhancements!! ( Coming soon)

Isn't it ironic that the expectations are so low now that some people are now saying bring back the 30%.

I won't give up yet, let's request they address the capacity control issue. Eagerly awaiting Andrew's response to the concrete examples provided.

I did send Andrew a PM at the same time I originated this thread asking him to look
at it when he had a chance...

How much pull does Andrew have with this? I mean is this not an AE issue?

Obviously not. AE merely manages the program.

AY probably doesn't have too much pull, but AC would. This IKK capacity control is AC's business, AP only administer it for AC.

I wonder if the SE IKK availability can be made objective and transparent, perhaps like one with a latitude flight passes who can upgrade to business class within ?48 hrs of flight departure, without the need of upgrade certificates.

Perhaps one can say that if there is a certain number of "J" business class seats on a given flight, the IKK should be available. If there are less than a certain number of business class seats on that flight, perhaps the 30% premium rule should go into effect.

Note, I am not saying that one should base the IKK availability on C,D,Z, or R class availability. If one were to say that, then perhaps AC might minimize the availability of such types of seat inventory, just to limit SE IKK availability.

Like others, I have run into stone walls trying to book flights.

It seems to me that we have many SE with a whole bunch of miles who are trying to spend them economically. Lurking in the not too distant future is the start of the 7yr miles expiry date. If you think that it is difficult now, just wait until non-SE start to panic and try to spend their miles. Seats will be as rare as an AC with working IFE. I foresee a lot of miles going down the drain, and taking a comparable number of unhappy E and SE with them.
