Croatia and Japan on AP reward
 

Would like to hit Dubrovnik (or Zagreb, or even Skopje, Macedonia), and Tokyo (Haneda or Narita) on a 100k (J)/120k (F) AP reward; is this possible, even if all the stars align (no pun intended), and there's adequate availability?

Everyone I've seen doing these mini-RTW's seems to route through the "Europe 1" zone when they do their Asia reward. But is a Europe 2 routng possible?

I've never done one of these things but suspect you'd need to do something like Canada-FRA-NRT-Canada and then book yourself a side trip (points or cash fare) to Croatia.

I have booked a ticket Toronto - Moscow - Hong Kong - Toronto as an Asia 1 award. So the Zone issue should not be a problem. Don't know about availability, backtracking ,mileage rules but the zone issue should not be an issue.

While I haven't, other people have booked a Canada-Turkey-Asia reward with 100K AP miles. And Turkey is in Europe 2

I have booked something like this before. It's an Asia 1 to Europe 2 reward via NA. It doesn't matter whether it's Europe 2 or Europe 1, it's 105K miles either way.

Yup, I did a Cda-Asia-Turkey-Europe1-Cda reward in J for 100K last year.
