Is there a website or tool you can plug in a proposed itinerary and get an easy to see summary such as you posted? Would that be a function of KVS or ExpertFlyer? Or would you have to go and do a fake booking of the route to see the charges?

I never thought of doing that on this trip so frankly I paid what it was without comparing costs of different routes but seeing it laid out so easily here I will try to do this in the future.
